Yay!  Swagbucks has a August promotion going for new subscribers.  What is Swagbucks?  It is basically a program that you can use to search for web content (instead of Google) and earn points.  Each time you get to 450 points, you can cash out for a $5 Amazon Gift Card.  There are other prizes you can cash out for too, but my favorite is the Amazon gift card.  I like to save them in my account until Christmas and pay for gifts with them.

Head up, I generally recommend NOT dowloading toolbars because they are generally a waste of your system resources, however the Swagbucks toolbar is the ONE toolbar that I do recommend.  I get 1 Swagbuck every morning, just for having the toolbar.  Plus, it makes it really easy to search and earn. 

Also, even though I am saving the Amazon gift cards for Christmas, I cash out my swagbucks immediatly when I earn enough.  About 2 years ago, Swagbucks prizes costed less…I left my Swagbucks in there, and well, when I went to cash out, I found out the price had gone up.  So, when you get to 450, cash out with your Amazon gift card, it doesn’t expire and can sit safely in your Swagbucks account.  Just my little piece of advice.

Check your Swagbucks Toolbar for a code to enter.  I just got another Swagbuck.  With what I got yesterday from using the search engine, and the valentines code, and then today searching and President’s day code….I got 4 Swagbucks just in the last 2 days.  It doesn’t sound like much until you realize that you only need 20 swagbucks to get a $5 giftcard to Alice.com.
