What can be yummier than Surf and Turf from Omaha Steaks for Valentine’s Day?

Well, this is my idea of a perfect Valentine’s meal.  A completely grilled meal!

• 2 Lobster Tails
• 2 Filet Mignons
• 1 bunch of Asparagus (not included)
• Thick sliced bread (not included)

1. Thaw the Lobster tails and Filets overnight in the fridge.  Then cut them in half going from underside to the topside.  Pat them dry and then lightly drizzle with olive oil.
2. For the Filets, just pat them dry and then drizzle with olive oil.
3. Put the Filets on a very hot grill for approximately 5 minutes per side (depending on the doneness you prefer).
4. When the Filets have been on the grill for about 5 minutes, put the lobster tails on the grill with the cut side down.  It will only take about 4-5 minutes for these to cook all the way thru.
5. For the asparagus, cut about 2 inches off the bottom to get the tough part off.  Then rinse, dry and of course, drizzle with olive oil.  Place them on the cooler side of the grill and these will stay there for anywhere from 5-10 minutes.  I like to do this AFTER the steaks are done, so that the steaks can rest and retain their juices.  When they are done, I top with a little butter.  YUM!
6. For the bread, I like to use VERY thick sliced bread.  It will only take about 2 minutes or so per side.  I like to do this while the meat is resting.  Just grill it with butter and garlic salt.

I purchased a Cuddletunes bear for both of my girls at Christmas time.  Both Rachel and Samantha LOVE their bear.  They carry them all over the house.  When I first bought them, I put the suggested lullabies on them.  Both of the girls loved having the songs with their names in it.  You heard right, the songs actually incorporate the name of the child if you want it to.

I also took time to record some of my girls favorites.  Sami’s favorite song is actually the kookaburra song.  She LOVES that song.  So I recorded myself singing that for her.  And the Rachel’s favorite song is “Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty” (and all you Big Bang Theory fans will know that song).  Rachel loves it to be sung twice in a row.  So that is how I recorded it.  The bear is AMAZING.

Well, needless to say, my girls are 5 and 6 and decided that they wanted to hear they favorite pop songs on the bear.  So, I have the MP3 files, and loaded them up.  Now, they jam out the ‘The Rizers’ every chance they get.  As soon as they open their eyes in the morning, the bear is playing their favorite songs.

With that being said, think of the ways you could use this bear.  If you have a little, tiny baby that just needs to hear mom’s or dad’s voice all night, record your soft songs.  If you have little jammers, put their favorite tunes on them.

One thing I LOVE about this, it can be updated from ANYWHERE there is internet access.  So, think of the grandparents that are miles and miles away.  They can get online, record themselves reading the child’s favorite book or singing the child’s favorite song.  Or think of the mom or dad that is deployed in the military.  They can access the Cuddletunes site and upload a message for the child.
