So once or twice a year, it is good for us to take a break from shopping. I find it best in April and September. These months seem to be lighter on the freebies and awesome sales, so it is nice to take a break from shopping and use up some of the stockpile. Every family is different it what we keep in stock. But most of us have some sort of pasta, rice, veggies (either frozen or canned) and frozen meats. So, a friend of mine did her September “Living off the Land” menu. Check her menu out….looks great.

Other than picking up fresh veggie here and there, fresh dairy and any odds and ends ingredients…Sarah will only be visiting the store for freebies this month. Sticking with one grocery store and of course hitting CVS for the grand plan will save her time and money this month. As well as save her the aggrevation of not knowing what is for dinner.
So, have you done a ‘Living off the land’ challenge? If so, share your results….We would love to hear them. Also, if you have any suggestions….send them on.
